Cookies and Shipp was founded by Thomas P. Shipp as a therapeutic endeavor to cope with his PTSD. After **serving 22 years in the Army, including deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan,** Thomas was struggling with the emotional toll of his experiences. He sought a way to turn his pain into something positive. He reimagined the concept of PTSD, transforming it into a framework of **Peace, Therapy, Serenity, and Discovery**. This new perspective guided him towards healing through the comforting act of baking.

Thomas’s mission extends beyond creating delicious cookies; it’s about transforming pain into positivity. Each cookie is crafted with the intention of bringing joy and warmth to those who enjoy them. Inspired by his wife, Tamika Shipp, Thomas decided to share these cookies with the world. Through Cookies and Shipp, he aims to create moments of connection and happiness, sharing the therapeutic benefits he found in baking with others.
